Many teams do not like the idea of Halo but due to the legal issue that might come in the future, FIA has made Halo a mandatory feature from the next season.
Most of the paddock talk doesn’t favour the Halo and believe it is against the DNA of Formula 1. Bottas, however, believes otherwise. He doesn’t believe Halo will ‘hurt’ the sport.
These are the most common issues we heard against the Halo: The visibility for the driver will get affected, Fans’ visibility of the driver’s actions are affected and speed at which driver can get in and get out.
Bottas believes that in the end, Halo is ‘good’ for the drivers. But he is concerned about the weight that will be added to the car due to the new equipment.
Talking to Auto Bild, he said, “I don’t think Halo will hurt Formula 1,
“It is a safety improvement, like so many others in the history of the sport, which is good for us drivers.
“The only drawback is the extra weight because the heavier the cars are, the less exciting they are.”
