After a long few months of gossip its finally been confirmed that Bottas will stay at Mercedes to partner Lewis Hamilton for 2020.
This will be Botta’s 4th season with the team since replacing Nico Rosberg. Bottas failed to win any races last season but came back strong in the beginning of 2019 with 2 race victories.
Botta’s current form however isn’t splendid as he is lacking behind his team mate in both pace and consistency – and is now under serious pressure from Max for 2nd in the Championship.
As we predicted in our video earlier; though Esteban Ocon was lurking in the Mercedes garage causing a stir, good old Bottas did enough to keep his seat.
Speaking of Ocon, he may well be going to Renault himself.
Bottas lives another day.
