Robert Kubica finished his second driving test for Williams F1 racing team as a part of their evaluation for a race seat in 2018.
Kubica completed a full day drive test at Hungaroring circuit driving the same 2014 spec Williams car that he tested earlier last week.
As a part of the program, Kubica spent time in the team’s simulator to confirm he is fit enough to resume F1 racing.
As before, Williams withheld all information about the testing and only stated that the Polish driver “completed another productive day” and that the team will continue its evaluations.
On Wednesday, Williams reserve driver Paul di Resta’s will take the turn to drive the FW36 and showcase his skills.
Williams has four drivers in its shortlist – Kubica, Felipe Massa, Di Resta and Pascal Wehrlein, of which only Kubica and Di Resta took part in the driving tests. The Team is keen to announce its driver line up for next year before the end of current season.
Earlier this week, former F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone came out to bat for Kubica, stating Williams should pick up Kubica without hesitation as he is a better driver now than ever before.
Massa believes that changing driver now will be disastrous for the British team and suggests he is the best bet for next year to partner will Lance Stroll.
