Romain Grosjean revealed his new helmet design for the season. The new helmet pays a tribute to Nicky Hayden. Grosjean will wear this helmet during the US Grand Prix later in October.
Nicky Hayden was a MotoGP Champion from 2006 and died in May due to an accident while cycling in Italy.
The tribute Helmet shows Hayden’s race number ‘69’ and displays his nickname ‘Kentucky Kid’.
Drivers are allowed to have one helmet design change per year. Most drivers put on their new design in their home race or in the Monaco Grand Prix.
