Stroll packing bags from Williams?

After enduring a tiresome races at Williams, Lance Stroll may move to Force India for 2019, according to the paddock rumours.

Williams’ 2018 car, the FW41 has serious aerodynamic issues that have left the team at the bottom of the team’s standing and is struggling to finish races.

Stroll is the only points earner for the outfit, having scored four for his eighth-place finish at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The Canadian is wondering whether to stay at the troubled outfit for 2019 in case there is no progress on FW41.

Speaking ahead of the German GP, Stroll said: “I would like to see us improve and get to where we want to get to as a team,”

“I also want to do what’s best for me as a driver, so we will come to all the conclusions at the right time and figure out what’s best for the future.

“I don’t know yet what I’m doing or where my future is going. I’m still focused on where I am right now, what I’m doing today and we’ll see what the future holds.”

Stroll’s career moves are closely controlled by his father’s wallet. Fashion mogul Lawrence Stroll typically makes decisions and in case he thinks Force India is the right choice, the outfit can expect a sizable financial aid from the Canadian billionaire.

In case Stroll moves to the Silverstone outfit, he could take up Sergio Perez’s place as the Mexican is rumoured to be interested in an offer from Haas.

“I’m not going to comment in detail on all that kind of stuff, I’m really just focusing on every weekend – where I am right now, the racing. There is plenty going on,” insisted Stroll.

“Right now, I think there is a lot of unfinished business in Formula 1. I got to experience some amazing highlights as a rookie last year and some difficult times as well, which I expected coming into my rookie year but all in all a great rookie season.

“And this year, I think we are all quite surprised, shocked by the performance of the package and where we are. So I don’t think it’s time to end it on this kind of note.”
