The pressure is on for Logan Sargeant at Williams, with team boss James Vowles issuing a clear ultimatum – step up your performance or face the consequences.
After a challenging debut season alongside teammate Alex Albon, the American rookie has been granted another opportunity for 2024. However, Vowles has made it clear that significant improvements are expected in both Sargeant’s physical condition and on-track performance.
“He knows that what he was doing last season is no longer suited to the situation,” Vowles emphasized in an interview with French magazine Auto Hebdo. “We need to move up a gear. Logan needs to be the surprise of the season and put to good use the knowledge base he has spent 12 months accumulating.”
With expectations high, Sargeant’s body language and confidence have already shown signs of improvement, setting the stage for a pivotal season ahead.
“You can already see that in his body language and confidence, and now he has the opportunity to apply that knowledge on the track,” Vowles said.
